Then Here

Mark Tearle

Receptive in a time of peaceful reflectionin the early fall, images presented themselves. Objects and scenes were arresting, giving pause. The quiet of the country beside still water encouraged contemplation. Mists appeared as flat planes but with great depth. The light was muted yet strong. Silence and stasis filled the air, an atmosphere which opened the eyes and stilled the mind. This was a time when there was time, when all was still.
