MiddleSea features the North American premiere of acclaimed artist Sedira’s eponymous video installation and accompanying photographs. A French woman of Algerian parentage, Sedira uses the sea as an allegory for the ideological contests of nations and the displacement of individuals. Opening reception held in conjunction with the release of Prefix Photo 21. Accompanied by an interview with Hans Ulrich Obrist. Supported by the Consulate General of France in Toronto and the Toronto Arts Council.
