Health geographers use a “blockface rating survey” to catalogue physical disorders in low-income neighbourhoods. Researcher/photographer Ramsay, creates a dialogue between this health geography research and the concept of place, represented through photographs, text, and critical reinterpretations of survey questions. The project raises questions about the role of research in low-income neighbourhoods and the construction of a sense of place.
