Pigeons and Powerlines

Mark Binks

These photographs are shot mostly with toy cameras, often using expired or obscure films, sometimes cross processed, or just scanned completely wrong. This series is as much about the process as the result and about the thrill of not knowing how, or if your images will turn out. Binks' photographs look to discover beauty by abstracting the familiar and often mundane things, that consciously or not, frame the urban experience.
