Photographer Naomi Harris will teach how to make vibrant and exciting portraits. She will explore how to use a variety of lighting techniques and how to properly select equipment in relation to your shoot. Naomi will also provide tips on how to work with your subject and get the most out of your session. Participants should have previous experience using professional lighting equipment. Naomi will teach how to advance your skills and gain confidence in your ability as a photographer.
Naomi Harris is a graduate from York University in Toronto and The International Center of Photography in New York. She is a recipient of the 2001 International Prize for Young Photojournalism. Harris was also a finalist for the 2001 W. Eugene Smth Grant in Humanistic Photography and received a honorable mention for a Yann Geffroy Award. Her first monograph America Swings was first published by Taschen in 2008. Harris currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
