Patagonia: Fire & Ice

Ariel Estulin

The region of Patagonia is situated at the southernmost tip of South America. It’s known for its unpredictable weather, wild granite spires, and vast icefields that extend 200 miles along the crest of the southern Andes. Gaucho (cowboy) culture has long been deeply rooted in this region, and more recently, mountaineering has become popular. Patagonia: Fire & Ice explores two dominating features of this landscape: the ritual of sunrise and sunset, and the glacier ice.
