The Green Line

Mark Kasumovic

Eight large-format photographs of a Toronto hydro corridor by Mark Kasumovic are printed on weather-proof boards and displayed at Geary Avenue Parkette, along with winning entries from the Green Line Ideas Competition. Kasumovic’s images record the presence of electricity in the landscape, capturing scenes he describes as “a juxtaposition of banality, necessity, and splendour” and a vision of the power grid “as an endless modernist sculpture.”  Photos commissioned by Workshop Architecture.
