Learning to Look

St. Clement's School

Truth has been an ongoing concern throughout the history of photography. When we see an image, how can we ascertain that it represents something real? This exhibition by grade 12 Photography students at St. Clement's School seeks to explore the inherent contradictions of photographs as documents. Is the image before us really what we think it is, or is it something else altogether? This interactive exhibition allows visitors to cover and uncover parts of the photographs with removable mats.
