The West has been exposed to many iterations of China in recent years: grandiose, tragic, inspiring, infuriating, backwards and futuristic. Each reflects degrees of truth and each leaves something to be desired. Through large format landscapes and intimate street photography, Conarroe's China considers the casual yenning of people who live between those extremes. Seating is limited so it is recommended to RSVP for the talk.

Closing reception to follow. China is on view at the gallery until May 3.
