Take a tour of the exhibition Watchers, Seekers, Keepers: Images of the Diaspora from Black Britain, followed by a conversation with co-curator Marlene Smith and the artist Vanley Burke.

Since his arrival in the UK Vanley Burke has photographed and documented its evolving cultural landscape, culminating in a body of work that illuminates the shifting populations and cultural dynamics of a ‘post-Windrush Britain’ to present day that challenges prevalent assumptions regarding British national identity. Burke has also worked in South Africa where he documented black life at the end of Apartheid.
